Intercultural summer camp in Spohns Haus youth hostel in Gersheim, Bliesgau

The summer camp at the environmental education centre Spohns Haus is Germany’s largest youth exchange project between Poland, Ukraine and Germany. The Peter und Luise Hager Foundation places great importance on giving young people the opportunity to get to know as many different cultures as possible while they are still young. Ideally, they learn from each other in a relaxed atmosphere.

In 2019 the camp will take place from July 1st to 13th. Kids and teenagers between the ages of 13 and 18 are allowed to participate.

There are plenty of highlights - such as day trips to Paris and Heidelberg, graffiti workshops with the graffiti artist Reso and, like every year, the group will get to know the Hager Group headquarters in Blieskastel.

The registration deadline is June 15th, as long as there are still places available. Sign up now and join us!

Summer camp 2018 (25th June - 7th July)

In 2018, the summer camp took place from June 25th to July 7th and was sponsored by the Peter und Luise Hager Foundation for the sixth time in a row. The topic was "Come Together".

65 young people had the opportunity to take part in language courses, workshops and exciting excursions. Especially the graffiti workshop was particularly popular. One of the highlights was a day excursion to Paris. The youngsters discovered the many attractions that Paris has to offer. The camp programme also included the traditional Hager Day, where the teenagers visited Hager Group’s headquarters in Blieskastel and met Hager Seniors (die Hager-Senioren), who, together with specialists from the Technical Sales Promotion department took them on a tour of the plant and answered all their questions about the company.
In the afternoon the group drove to the Science Center Dynamikum in Pirmasens, which was then followed by a barbecue in Gersheim.
